Yeah, yeah, and do you know…
That’s what I heard…
Guess what has happen…

Boys, girls,
Hey, have you heard,
That there’s a rumour flying around,
Gossip here and gossip there,
Makes me wonder how it gets started,
Whisper here and whisper there,
Is there any truth in what is said,
Hey, people, listen to yourself,
How would you like it if it happens to you?

I wonder why people talk about each other,
Why spreading rumours to another,
Why exchanging lies together,
Why is gossip always gathered.
What is everyone talking about,
Who is letting all the secrets out,
How do these stories get started,
When will all the gossip get halted.

Now let’s see, how can this be,
A girl and a boy just meet today,
Hours later they’re in love, people say,
Then the next day the story changes,
People are saying that they’ve been together for ages,
In truth, these two only just shook hands,
They don’t even consider themselves as friends,
So how does the story get that way,
I got to figure that out someday.

Now let’s take another tale,
That begins from one poor female,
She told Sue a secret that she likes this fella,
But Sue told one person who told another,
So on and so forth the story goes,
Until it’s possible that the whole world knows,
I pity this girl who feels embarrass and discomfit,
Just because of people and their love for gossip.
